About the company

Our client is an aerospace company established in 2006 that develops mechanisms, optical instruments, computer vision, AI and navigation & control systems for Earth observation and planetary missions to the Moon, Mars and small bodies. It is a company known for its flexibility and willingness to explore and implement disruptive capabilities for aerospace applications.
We are looking for a AOCS/GNC Technical Manager to join its' team and help develop state-of-the-art Guidance, Navigation and Control Systems applicable to its nano-satellites, landers and micro-launcher projects currently underway at the company.

The purpose is to develop GNC components as well as integrated AOCS/GNC subsystems and small vehicles. The team is also involved in the development of GNC solutions for space applications - for Earth Observation nanosatellites, small launchers and space exploration missions (Lunar, Mars and small bodies). To this end, the company has been significantly investing for several years in the development and maturation of fully autonomous flying platforms, with multi-sensor GNC architectures (combining data from scanning LIDARs, visual and multispectral cameras, laser and radio altimeters, and inertial measurement units) operating on COTS and radiation-tolerant high-performance embedded processing solutions (including DSPs, FPGAs and/or GPUs).

The working environment is highly dynamic and multidisciplinary, and every team member is expected to continuously collaborate with experts in other fields of expertise towards a common goal - typically a complete vehicle or a subsystem, under the direction of highly knowledgeable staff with extensive prior accomplishments. Technologies to be further developed and refined include outputs from prior European Space Agency contracts for developing software and hardware solutions.
