Spacecraft development Project Manager - Intern / Work student

Role

To meet major project milestones, we are looking for a Project Manager work-student, to join the team of our Projects Department. It is currently composed of 7 people representing 5 different nationalities. Your focus area will be coordination, planning, and steering of our small satellite projects (50–500 kg). You will be responsible for internal project management and coordination with customers, partners, and suppliers.

The work-student contract would be for a duration of 6 months and could be converted to a full-time professional contract after that if everything works well.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination, planning, and steering of the small satellite projects
  • Task, resource, and schedule planning and maintenance
  • Implementation of project plans and risk management
  • Creation and maintenance of project management documentation
  • Planning and execution of meetings
  • Customer, partner and supplier coordination
  • Quality and operational process control

Qualifications

  • Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree (technical development or industrial engineering with a focus on project management)
  • Basic aerospace technical knowledge required
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Projektron BCS or comparable)
  • Familiarity with common productivity tools such as Word, Powerpoint, Visio, and GitLab, (Lyx is a plus)
  • Methodical and structured work
  • Professional fluency in English, (German is a plus)
  • Enthusiasm for space, new technologies and working in a dynamic team
