Novaspace is offering a 6-month full-time internship, based in Toulouse, to support its consulting activities with a focus on space sustainability. This is a unique opportunity to work in the vibrant space industry and contribute to building to apply sustainability to space topics.
Your primary task will be to develop a simplified tool for evaluating the environmental costs and associated benefits of space systems, integrating economic, and social considerations.
Additionally, you will conduct broader research in space sustainability, leveraging methodologies such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and environmental impact analysis, to inform strategic insights and innovative solutions for our clients.

Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong academic background in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, economics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), environmental impact methodologies, or similar frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Interest or experience in space technology.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Highly proficient with Excel and the Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Any one of the following additional skills would be a plus
- Experience with LCA tools (e.g., SimaPro, OpenLCA, Gabi).
- Knowledge of space sustainability challenges, such as orbital debris or environmental impacts of space missions.
- Programmatic language knowledge such as Python
- Prior experience in market research, consulting, or data analysis.
- Proficiency in other European languages.
