ALSO Space is seeking an Intern in Data Visualisation who will analyse satellite imagery and remote sensing data to derive meaningful insights. Additionally, the ideal candidate will create engaging social media content that simplifies complex scientific concepts for a broader audience. The role requires strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Analyse satellite imagery and remote sensing data to extract meaningful information.
Draft social media posts, and other communication materials that effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to a general audience.
Assist with operational tasks related to satellite data analysis, processing, and dissemination activities.
Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
Document procedures, workflows, and findings from data analysis.
Draft presentations or reports summarising findings and outcomes of projects or analyses.
Pursuing a degree in Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant coursework in remote sensing principles, GIS, image processing, and data analysis. Academic or research projects involving satellite imagery, remote sensing applications, or environmental monitoring.
Ability to distill complex technical information into accessible and compelling narratives for social media posts and campaigns.
Fully fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written).

Based in the heart of Brussels, Belgium, ALSO Space, was created in June 2022 by Annamaria Luongo and Stéphane Ourevitch. We employ 19 consultants, not only including experts specialised in Earth Observation, GIS, Geo Data Visualisation, Emergency Management, Environmental Protection, but also in communication, user uptake, and community management. Three of our staff members are based in Central America.

The founders of ALSO Space have close to 30 years of combined experience in communication and community building with an extensive background in the Copernicus ecosystem. Both have a well-established track record of successfully delivering on high profile projects and nurturing community expansion for clients such as the European Commission, ESA, EUMETSAT, and major players in the Earth Observation industry.
