Security Traineeship

€1,500 monthly

Role

The trainee will be expected to carry out under supervision the following duties:

  • Assist the team in its daily UNCLASSIFIED activities, including participation in internal and/or external meetings dedicated to security aspects of Agency corporate systems, space systems, services and users;
  • Carry out research and draft papers on specific space security governance subjects;
  • Support the establishment and implementation of the Agency Corporate cybersecurity framework;
  • Support the review and preparation of security related documentation;
  • Support the preparation of dissemination materials related to the tasks of the Department;
  • Support the interactions with representatives of European Member States and relevant Authorities;
  • Support the projects managed by the department (e.g. budget, cost, risk and schedule);
  • Provide administrative support (e.g. archiving, document management, data entry and processing, organising meetings);
  • Support ad-hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications

The applications will be assessed against the following criteria:

  1. Knowledge (by training or experience) of the tasks and responsibilities described above;
  2. Experience of public and business administration and/or other relevant areas such as engineering or exact sciences;
  3. Experience in public speaking and/or communication;
  4. Good knowledge of IT applications, such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  5. Willingness to learn and support defined tasks;
  6. Proactive attitude;
  7. Effective communication;
  8. Transversal collaboration and working in teams;
  9. Excellent command of both written and spoken English;
  10. Motivation for the post.

The current vacancy will offer an opportunity to work in one of the EUSPA department's dealing with security (e.g. Security Authority Department, Security Operations and Monitoring Department, Engineering Department). They all aim to proactively contribute to the fulfilment of the missions of the Agency by providing the security expertise.

The position requires relocation to one of the sites of the Agency – either the headquarters in Prague (the Czech Republic) or one of our centres in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Toulouse (France), Noordwijk (the Netherlands), and Torrejon de Ardoz and San Martin de la Vega (Spain).
