Astronomy - Aerospace Engineer (Space Debris)
Role
We are expanding our teams in the Aerospace sector to take on project management and technical leadership roles for the development of one of our tools that performs image processing of telescope data and computation of debris and satellite orbits.
In our team you will lead the technical development of one of our products, within our Space Surveillance and Traffic Management business unit, which comprises engineering, technologies, products and systems related to this field.
Responsibilities
Among your functions, you will lead the solutions with programming mainly in C++ with the ability to perform development as well as some project management duties, such as creating reports, documents or participating in discussions with customers.
Qualifications
For this position, we are looking for aerospace and/or astronomy engineers, with knowledge of the sector and interest and passion for Space.
We will value previous experience in the described tasks, interest in project leadership, experience in C++, Python and Bash development, as well as knowledge of astronomy and observation.
As desirable requirements, experience in any other programming language (Java, FORTRAN, etc) and knowledge in Space Safety (collision avoidance, AI/ML).
