Responsibilities
In our team. as an SST Advance Engineer in the SST/STM division, your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead the technical specification, design, development and validation of SST/STM systems and services, including both hardware and software.
- Supporting or leading key work packages related to orbit determination, conjunction analysis and sensor network optimization (among other SST related topics).
- Interaction with customers and stakeholders (e.g. ESA, EUSST, national agencies) on technical requirements, developments and system evolution.
- Support to technical reviews, system integration and validation campaigns.
- Technical coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams (software, hardware, operations).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools and quality standards
Qualifications
GMV is looking for a technically qualified senior engineer with a strong background in space engineering, orbital mechanics or related disciplines to take a leadership role in the development and implementation of Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) and Space Traffic Management (STM) solutions.
This position is ideal for a systems engineer, subject matter expert, or technical architect who wants to play a more strategic and technically influential role in high-impact space projects.
We are looking for engineers who bring new ideas, new ways of working and, above all, a passion for the challenges of the space sector.In this role, you will be a key technical point person, supporting solution specification, design, systems integration and validation activities. While you will be able to contribute to project management, your main focus will be on the technical definition, architecture and evolution of SST/STM services and systems.
