Galileo Second Generation Orbit Determination

Role

In our team, you will contribute to the development of precise orbit determination algorithms in C++ within the Galileo Second Generation System Testbed (G2STB) project. The G2STB is a state-of-the-art system responsible for developing the capabilities of the Galileo Second Generation system, which will contribute to the future of European satellite-based positioning services.

The system is being developed by a consortium of European companies led by GMV, with each partner responsible for a part of the system. The student will join a dynamic team, working with the SAFe methodology.

Responsibilities

Main tasks:

  • Define and design algorithms for the precise orbit determination of Galileo and LEO satellites.
  • Implement the algorithms in C++.
  • Develop monitoring tools.
  • Integrate the algorithms into the G2STB platform, a private cloud system.
  • Validate the performance of the algorithms.

Qualifications

For this position, we are looking for bachelor’s or master’s degree students with a background and interest in algorithm development and problem solving.

We will also value previous experience and knowledge in:

  • C++
  • Linux
  • GNSS
