Role
We are looking for a EO Data Analyst – Cities to be integrated in Portugal, reporting to the Innovation Department.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to:
▪Analyse satellite imagery and earth observation datasets to extract insights, indicators and value-added information;
▪Develop analytical models and processing methods to support new EO-based products and services;
▪Combine satellite data with other datasets to improve satellite-based insights;
▪Document methods, produce reports and ensure the quality, traceability, reproducibility and impact of analytical outputs from EO datasets.
▪Other duties as assigned or required.
Note: The ability to work on call is required.
Qualifications
▪Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
▪Understanding of remote sensing technologies, geospatial data, and Earth observation applications.
Additional Training Desirable:
▪Geospatial Data Analysis Tools.
▪Earth Observation Technologies.
▪ISO 9001 training.
Experience:
▪Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
▪Processing of EO data and deriving insights.
▪Experience with geospatial tools (GIS, datasets, platforms).
▪Understanding EO sensors and image processing techniques.
▪Preferable experience with data fusion.
▪Preferable experience applying EO analytics to urban environments, including land-use monitoring, mobility improvement, and environment assessment.
▪Experience replaces training.
▪Analytical mindset and critical thinking.
▪Ability to evaluate complex information.
Languages
▪English (mandatory).
▪Spanish.
