Electrical Engineer - R&D Projects

Part time, Contractor Design Electronics Engineering

Role

As an Electrical Engineer you will work closely with our Engineering departments on developing the spacecraft/satellite electrical subsystem as well as supporting business development during proposal preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and implementation of electronic systems for space missions
  • Support with the definition of satellite power subsystem architecture and design
  • General support of aerospace projects, proposal preparation, project acquisition activities as well as new technology development in the company
  • Close cooperation and daily communication with the suppliers
  • Future development in the following areas of expertise is expected:
    • EMC and magnetic cleanliness requirements, electrical interfaces, related budgets
    • Estimation and verification of power subsystem performance
    • Spacecraft electrical integration and qualification test plans and procedures / Support integration and assembly of spacecraft systems, ensuring adherence to space industry standards and safety

    • Testing and analysis of electrical components, Connectivity and Circuits, Test systems (SCOE, GSE)
    • Radio frequency systems

Qualifications

  • Student or graduate of aerospace engineering, or electrical engineering or comparable qualification
  • Experience as an electronics/system engineer is advantageous not mandatory
  • Considerable communication skills, high degree of flexibility and resilience
  • Willingness to learn and take over additional responsibility
  • Entrepreneurial way of thinking with focus on quality and cost awareness
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is a must, German is a plus
