Optical Systems Engineer

Full time Engineering

Role

  • Developing requirements and conduct requirement validation of optical payloads based on analysis and testing
  • Provide optical engineering expertise to support manufacturing tasks and issues
  • Working across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Development and design of satellite systems and subsystems
  • Support with the proposal’s preparation and evaluation
  • Participation in technical reviews with our international partners such as the European Space Agency
  • Active participation in the procurement, assembly, and test processes
  • Build effective relationships across organizations, disciplines (electrical, mechanical, ther-mal, software) and with customers
  • Presentation of work results internally and to the customer
  • Actively participate in the expansion of the company's know-how (knowledge sharing, mentoring, training)

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in aerospace, mechanical, optical engineering or comparable education
  • Ideally 3-5 years of experience in aerospace, electronics, or similar business
  • Experience in system engineering and payload systems design (optical design / system engineering knowledge is a plus)
  • Considerable communication skills, high degree of flexibility and resilience
  • Willingness to learn and take over additional responsibility and to execute trainings
  • Entrepreneurial way of thinking with focus on quality and cost awareness
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is a must, German is a plus
  • Strong team spirit
