Structural Analysis Engineer

Role

  • Support space projects from the proposal phase until the launch campaign
  • Analysis of structural subsystem requirements
  • Evaluation of relevant structural concept trades
  • Support for generation and maintenance of specifications for the structural subsystem
  • Generation of structural analysis models including checks of the model quality
  • Performance of static, dynamic, thermo-elastic, and acoustic noise structural analysis with strong emphasis on design change recommendations/optimizations
  • Preparation of structural analysis documentation
  • Establishment of input data for environmental test campaigns (vibration test, acoustic noise test etc.)
  • Presentation of work results internally and to the customer
  • Participation in technical reviews with our international partners such as the European Space Agency
  • Support with the proposal’s preparation and evaluation

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical eng. or comparable qualification
  • Ideally above 5 years of experience in aerospace business
  • Professional experience in the field of structural analysis
  • Experience in using "Finite Element" software for structural analysis (NASTRAN and Hyper-Works)
  • Considerable communication skills, ambitious person willing to develop further
  • Willingness to learn and take over additional responsibility and to execute trainings
  • Entrepreneurial way of thinking with focus on quality and cost awareness
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is a must, German is a plus
  • Strong team spirit
