The Operations Department works with other Agency departments to keep the EU Space Programme’s civil and governmental navigation and timing services running safely and securely. It manages day-to-day operations, service contracts and system upgrades, as well as satellite operations and infrastructure maintenance. This work also includes preparing security accreditation files and ensuring compliance with the Agency’s security framework. The position requires permanent relocation to the Agency’s Galileo Security Monitoring Centre in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (France). Missions to the other Agency sites (headquarters in Prague, European GNSS Service Centre in Spain, Galileo Reference Centre in the Netherlands, GSMC in Spain, EGNOS office in Toulouse), Galileo Control Centres (in Oberpfaffenhofen and Fucino), contractor premises (in Munich and Toulouse) and occasional travels to the EC in Brussels (Belgium) are foreseen for this post.

The Positioning Navigation and Timing (PNT) Programme Management Department manages the programme activities for the EU PNT Programme Components (Galileo and EGNOS), and is accountable for the end-to-end exploitation of the EU PNT Programme components including budget, and schedule management. The PNT Department is responsible for ensuring the timely and secure implementation of new services through development and deployment of system infrastructures, and the implementation of the Galileo and EGNOS Contribution Agreements for programme-related tasks, and manages the interfaces with the European Commission and the European Space Agency for the management of the EGNOS and Galileo Components of the Programme.   The position requires permanent relocation to the Agency’s headquarters in the heart of Europe – Prague. The remote sensing engineer is part of the application team within engineering. You build and deploy end-to-end remote sensing applications for EDGX’s compute payloads. Starting from raw sensor data, you build (pre)processing pipeline and integrate applications on the edge. You work next to our artificial intelligence engineers, and drive requirements back to the engineering team.
