The current vacancy will offer an opportunity to work in the Engineering Department which ensures the Agency’s technical leadership on all matters related to system infrastructure, service, and security engineering, and acts as the Engineering Centre of Competence. The Department is responsible for ensuring the robustness and security of the systems in operations, for developing the infrastructure of the EUSPA service facilities, for providing the operations and service requirements to new system developments, and for engineering new services and their receivers that ensure the wide usage of EU Space data. The Department interfaces with the European Space Agency as design authority of EGNOS and Galileo, and with the industry in charge of the evolution of the systems in operation and of the service facilities. Development and design of the structural system of satellites and launcher parts Generation of CAD models of mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and parts Preparation of the related manufacturing drawings and documents such as design re-ports and handling manuals Active participation in the procurement, assembly and test processes Interaction with the external suppliers of the hardware and support of manufacturing ac-tivities Presentation of work results internally and to the customer Participation in technical reviews with our international partners such as the European Space Agency Support with the proposal’s preparation and evaluation

Support space projects from the proposal phase until the launch campaign Analysis of structural subsystem requirements Evaluation of relevant structural concept trades Support for generation and maintenance of specifications for the structural subsystem Generation of structural analysis models including checks of the model quality Performance of static, dynamic, thermo-elastic, and acoustic noise structural analysis with strong emphasis on design change recommendations/optimizations Preparation of structural analysis documentation Establishment of input data for environmental test campaigns (vibration test, acoustic noise test etc.) Presentation of work results internally and to the customer Participation in technical reviews with our international partners such as the European Space Agency Support with the proposal’s preparation and evaluation

Developing requirements and conduct requirement validation of optical payloads based on analysis and testing Provide optical engineering expertise to support manufacturing tasks and issues Working across multiple engineering disciplines Development and design of satellite systems and subsystems Support with the proposal’s preparation and evaluation Participation in technical reviews with our international partners such as the European Space Agency Active participation in the procurement, assembly, and test processes Build effective relationships across organizations, disciplines (electrical, mechanical, ther-mal, software) and with customers Presentation of work results internally and to the customer Actively participate in the expansion of the company's know-how (knowledge sharing, mentoring, training)

As an Electrical Engineer you will work closely with our Engineering departments on developing the spacecraft/satellite electrical subsystem as well as supporting business development during proposal preparation.
